Viwanda bump caps
Falling or hanging objects can cause injury if a safety helmet according to EN 397 is not worn. Fixed or protruding objects, devices and machines can hit your head or get abrasions. A Viwanda bump cap in accordance with CE EN 812 protects against this. In contrast to a protective helmet, however, a bump cap has a significantly lower energy absorption capacity and therefore cannot reliably protect against objects that hit with high energy. It is therefore not an acceptable substitute for a protective helmet in environments such as construction sites.
Consequently, the protective cap closes the gap in the range of helmets for those areas of application for which the legislature does not provide for a protective helmet, but which makes everyday work easier and supports it.
